Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Buddy — operated by ALAMO Artificial Intelligence Labs LLC (“ALAMOai”), Granbury, Texas — collects, why, and the choices you have. In plain English: we collect what we need to run the service for you, we send some of it to the AI and voice providers that power Buddy, and we do not sell your data.

What we collect

• Account: your email address and login method (email link or Google sign-in).
• Voice: any voice samples you record to create a clone, and the audio you speak to Buddy.
• Conversations: transcripts of your talks with Buddy.
• What you give it: calendar events, goals, health notes, vault notes, and music you add.
• Proof media: the photos and videos you post as accountability proof, your captions, and the highlight reels Buddy assembles from them.
• Phone messages: if you use the phone feature, recordings and transcripts of calls Buddy answers for you.
• Focus settings: if you turn on the focus gateway, the categories or sites you choose to block and your override choices (stored on your account — we do not track your general browsing).
• Payments: if you subscribe on the web, your subscription status and billing identifiers. Card details are handled by Stripe and never stored by us.
• Usage: basic logs needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use it

We use your data only to provide and improve Buddy for you: to generate AI replies, to speak them back in your chosen voice, to keep your calendar/goals/health features working, and to send you account email. We do not use your private content to train third-party models, and we do not sell your data to anyone.

Who we share it with (subprocessors)

To make Buddy work, specific data is sent to these providers and processed under their terms:

• Anthropic — your message text and relevant context, and (on AI tiers) your proof photos and any health notes, so the coach can “look” at your proof and reason about your goals. Not used to train their models.
• Cartesia / MiniMax — reply text, to synthesize the spoken voice. Custom voice clones are processed on ALAMOai's own servers.
• Stripe — only if you subscribe on the web, to process your payment. We never see or store your full card details.
• Resend — your email address, to send sign-in links and account email.
• Google — only if you choose Google sign-in, to verify your identity.

We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect the safety and rights of users and the service.

How long we keep it

Conversation transcripts are automatically purged after 90 days. Other content is kept until you delete it or close your account. You can delete your account yourself, right in the app (Settings → Account → Delete account). Deleting your account permanently erases everything we hold for you — proof photos and videos, reels, voice samples and clones, transcripts, phone-message recordings, vault notes, calendar, goals, and health — promptly and for good.

Your choices

You can delete your account and all associated data yourself, in the app (Settings → Account). You can revoke a voice clone directly in the app, and transcripts auto-expire after 90 days. For access, correction, or export requests, email us and we'll help.

Children

Buddy is intended for adults (18+). It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
